Cotleur & Hearing Landscape Company was founded in 1992 by local Landscape Architects, Donaldson Hearing and Robert Cotleur. The company was created to bridge the gap between designers and the contractors implementing the design of a professional landscape architect. Unlike building materials that are manufactured to specific standards, landscape materials are living and there is a broad range of specimens that can be bought and sold through a nursery. Cotleur & Hearing recognized the critical importance of proper landscape installation to achieve the Landscape Architect’s long term design objectives. The integrations of the Landscape Architect with the landscape contractor have proven to be a winning combination.

Cotleur & Hearing Landscape Company is a full service landscape construction and maintenance company servicing both the residential and commercial community. The firm is committed to green initiatives and to promote environmental stewardship. We believe landscape and hardscape design should be contextual and promote the use of native and local materials. Several of the firms’ landscape architects are LEED certified to manage green building and sustainable sites design.

Principals Donaldson Hearing and Robert Cotleur are both actively involved in the community and participate in many local charities. They believe it is their responsibility to serve the community in which they have prospered and to give back. Mr. Hearing serves on the Board of Directors at the following organizations - The Lighthouse Center for the Arts, the Alliance for Community Enrichment and the PGA Corridor Association. Mr. Cotleur serves on the Town of Jupiter’s Beach Enhancement Committee and is active with the Loxahatchee River Preservation initiative. As local design professionals, Cotleur & Hearing participates with many non-profit organizations which serve our future generation. These include Teen Challenge, West Jupiter Community Center, Place of Hope, Village of Hope and First Care.
